wood vs steel tubular legs

I know wood tripod legs are MUCH MORE stable than the regular aluminum legs.

How does the wood tripod compare to 1" steel tubular legs? 1.5"? 2"?

Own a AP MaxBrite. Used to own a TV Everbrite. I've never done direct comparison with these two or with the non-diaelectric diagonals. If you're going to get one of the diaelectric ones, you probably can't go wrong.

I'd just like to add to this topic: What's the widest TFOV you can get in the 11" F/10 SCT? 1 degree?

Eyepiece Collection

40mm MK70 2"
24mm Konig 1.25
16mm Konig 1.25
9mm Ortho
7mm Ortho

I'm looking to replace my two Konigs w/ three Orthos: 25, 18, and 12.5mm. I was thinking of a 2nd wide-angle eyepiece between 25 and 40mm though. This is for an F/10 SCT. The 25mm MK70 is what I'm thinking, but if there's a better one for that price (or less), what is it?

C11 vs. 12.5 Truss Dob

I have now sold my C-9.25. I'm looking to get either a USED C11 (Ultima or EQ6-mounted) or 12.5" Truss Tube Dob (looking to spend $1500 max).

I have a SCT focuser, maxbrite diagonal, and a set of eyepieces from 7mm through 40mm all sitting around waiting to be used.

Do I go for the C11 and have everything I need or the 12.5" truss tube dob, sell the focuser and diagonal, and get paracorr (and all other accessories needed)?

Any first-hand help would be appreciatd. Thank you.
