Thanks, Practice seems like an obvious piece of advice, but not something I had thought of. I need to learn how to intergrate IM3 with the 40d as well so some time under the stars over the next couple of nights is in the plan.

Thanks for the input, my motivation is not dollars. I know I will be upside down but I plan on giving this project to my grandson someday far in the future. Since I made the post I have learned about Istar and have signed up for the Istar forum. I guess a first step would be to contact D&G and get a time estimate! I will continue to learn more about Istar and the quality of there objectives.
