How old are you???

Posted By Christine Hudnall

Hello from Central Florida!

Let's see, I'm 39 for a few more months thankfully wink am a member of Central Florida Astronomical Society and Chiefland Astronomy Village, both are awesome groups!

As for the low amount of women, wish I knew, we are actually trying to figure out what would be needed to encourage more women. Any suggestions, would love to hear them! smile

My suggestion of building a home with clear glass roofs to be able to watch the sky all night, didn't seem to go over real well. I loved the idea!

I actually came back to astronomy a couple of years ago on my birthday and have been hooked since. Just wish that I had kept with it all those years ago when my dad was trying to teach me.

Great thread. - Christine grin

Thanks for your thoughts. smile

Just to be clear though, these are NOT slackers or whatever else. I know how quickly time flies and you keep saying, oh, I'll do that later. Only to find later is now weeks and months down the road and you are shaking your head asking where time went to. 8O

I just wondered how others dealt with it, no biggie though.

Again, thanks. grin
