Personally, I think the biggest gulf is the one between dickie dodgeball and reality.

The funny thing is, if Canada DID become part of the US, it would be the largest state both in terms of size and population, and have about 53 House seats and almost all of them siding with the Democrats. It would be virtually impossible for the Republicans to win the House. With regard to the Presidency, with 55 electoral votes going to the Democrats, the Republicans would almost never win the Presidency.

For the Senate, if Canada were to join, but demand that each of their provinces and territories join as individual state, that would mean 26 new senators, the majority of whom would be Democrats. The Republicans would never control the Senate again. Canada would be the dominant voting block in the US and would largely be able to dictate policy. Gun laws anyone? How about universal health care? Abortion bans... not a chance.  Canada would shake up American politics in a way not seen before.

Further proof that trump and his sycophants don't think things through.
