Never previously imaged Leonardo's Nebula! Pic replaced!

Congratulations! Great capture of this new "nebula". I'll bet he gets more imaging than all the others combined over the next few years.

Nice shot. Can you give details on your automation? Program? Did you shift to a brighter star or just use what was in the field? I use the @focus in CCDSoft, but sometimes I "disagree" with it's answer and re-do it to get something better.

My Second Image of 2008

Not bad for such a blown up shot. This really shows off the tracking of your GM8. (unguided!?) I would have expected more color available for the stars with one minute exposures though. (?) Any available?

Looks good to me - not sure what you're not happy with. Can't wait for the other narrow bands.

Thanks, Floyd and Jason. This is one of those objects that "just fits".

Ok, how about the Hubble Palette for NGC6888?

Posted By Charles Hakes

That looks good. It is a toss up as to which version I think is more interesting - turquoise or tangerine. I can almost see why the Hubble palette has become popular, though, as those "cool" looking colors might be more "peaceful looking". Like something floating in the sea. You wouldn't want anyone to think anything violent happens in space, would you?

Looks great. And I really do like those references to earlier images.

I agree - nice image, nice colors. (I do like colors on the stars.) It almost looks like there is some dark nebulosity going on there too. I don't know if that is something more time would show?
