Here's a link to John Hopkins tracking tool that is reportedly quite useful:

I am wondering what, if any, measures are you personally taking in your personal life to help restrict the movement of the virus...

for instance:

Are you staying home 24/7, day after day, leaving the house only to go food shopping or other necessities?

When you encounter another person are you keeping at least 2m distance away?

Washing your hands several times a day?

Dave

The US is currently third behind China and Italy in the number of confirmed COVID19 cases. We've definitely moved up the list in a hurry. Contrast that with Russia which has a bit over 400 confirmed cases and one death. Both Putin and Trump were advised by their intel services in January and the former acted immediately with pro-active measures that have thus far protected a country with 466 million people even though it shares a border with China and has many Chinese moving between the two countries. We're now at about 44,000 confirmed cases with about 550 plus deaths and escalating. So, naturally, I believe Richie...

Not that it matters with respect to our efforts, but do you believe those numbers?  They seem awfully low to me.  Does anyone believe those numbers?  It is pretty easy to keep your numbers low if you just chuck your dead into a trench without determining a cause of death.

Jim
The numbers are coming from the John Hopkins tracking tool:
https://coronavirus.jhu.edu/map.html
WHO buys it:

I see your point from the aforementioned link from CNN but even if it's higher it still appears well under what we and other countries are currently experiencing.

It is highly contagious, and it is beyond me how anyone at this point could think otherwise. We have seen what it has done not only in China but in Italy, Spain, and Iran. At this point, you have to be willfully ignorant or unbelievably arrogant to think the same can't happen in the USA. The USA is well on track to become one of the hardest hit. I do not doubt though that the black knight is impervious to truth or reason.

We're currently up to 66000 plus confirmed cases and closing in on a thousand dead. Yup, time to plan for that grand reopening at Easter!

I really couldn't care less.  I don't have the luxury that you have of having sucked the tit of gov't i.e. taxpayers paying your way through life, and now having the taxpayers pay your way through your retirement, while you sit on a couch watching Netflix, while other people in society work to pay all of your bills for the next 30 friggin' years.

You could say thanks a lot guys and be done with it.

Let me just beat you to the punch and say "You are welcome"..
Is it summer down there or not? Geez!
