Where can I find rings for a 200mm diameter tube ?

They have rings for 7.5" and 8" tubes. The 8" would probably need a tiny bit of shimming with extra felt, etc. The 7.5" might be too tight.

I think we better determine what type motors really are involved here. They could be AC synchronous motors as well as DC motors. There should be some kind of info on the motor that you could pass on to us to further help the situation.

Mike, this is very common ever since the Supreme Court made a rulling that affected "grey market" items some years ago.
IF, and a big 'if", the film is properly stored and handled from manufacturer to consumer, there should be no difference between a roll made in the US and one in France or Italy or Australia. The problem is that outside the US the manufacturer has very little control on the handling and distribution of the product. Only here in the US can the US made product be carefully controlled from shipping dock to consumer.

I am very pleased with my 30mm WideScan II on a C-8 as well. I have also used a friends UO MK70 40mm and it was nice as well, BUT gave no better views or fov than the 30mm.

Telrad vs EZ Finder

The Telrad is superior by a long shot! I have had both and the Telrad is so much better and versatile.
The biggest disclamer is its size and weight, but they really aren't that bad. Also, the Telrad uses AA batteries which are a lot cheaper and last longer than the ones in the EZ finder and other red dot types.
AND, the adjustments on the Telrad are precision feeling as compared to the difficult and sometimes non responsive wheels on the other types.

Min-EQ mount question

Although I do not own one of these mounts, I have seen them. Actually, I did own a small EQ mount years ago for a small 80mm Refractor that was probably similar to what you refer.
I would say that what you propose is feasable, but doing it may be the catch. Even on a stable travel tripod(is that even possible :S )the problems encountered with polar alignment(drift alignment)and subsequent guiding, if you chose to to so, may be an extreme exercise in frustration 8O
However, the old addage, nothing ventured, nothing gained....
Give it a try and report back to us. We would wish you every success 8) , especially if you are up high in the mountains at some beautiful remote spot with mag 8 visibility!!!

However, if you aren't real savy with electronics, like me sad , you could try adapting an old CI-700 drive or a G-11 or G-8 drive to your scope. The biggest criteria is that you need a worm wheel that has either 180 or 360 teeth. If that is the case then those drives will work great. The nice thing about them is that they already have a nice controller that has various drive rates, slew rates, and pec and backlash adjustment for the dec motor. They also have autoguider inputs that are compatable with most autoguiders out there.
These drive units are routinely available here on AM as owners upgrade their equipment to goto drives.
