Double Cluster, no scope, Canon SX100 IS

Cool shot. I have tried a point and shoot, but set at wide and never with stacking, so this is a whole 'nuther area to explore. Do some more.

Pacman Nebula in Bi-Color Ha & O-III

Looks like a great recovery. Especially since you were willing to stay up till 3:00! I have had focus issues with narrow band too - sometimes hard to tell what you are getting until it is done.

Central Lagoon Nebula - HOO scheme.

Cool shot. That is really interesting how the O is so centralized.

DSI Pro broken - No Meade service after 1 yr warra

Posted By Charles Hakes

This sounds like what is in store for a friend with a 14" LX200. That one is a REALLY big paper weight right now. The OTA is still fine, but all that integrated electronics in the fork stopped doing anything! I guess Meade said would at least look at it if _everything_ was returned. (!?) And then advise on repairability. Apparently a big Losmndy mount would cost as much as he paid for the entire scope.

And FYI, I got a DSI Pro on sale for $99 when that model was being discontinued. At that price I almost assumed it was a disposable...

First Light ST10XME

Posted By Charles Hakes

This one looks great. (Also looks like you must have done some imaging somewhere before.) My "first light" on the ST10XE was a one minute of M82 and I was thrilled that I could see anything at all.

Central Lagoon in three different narrowband schemes

Posted By Charles Hakes

That is a good set to play with. I still like that palette on the right, but the stars seem bigger in that one. Not much SII in that region, I guess, as that channel is consistently dimmer, even with more time. (?) I know monitors are different, but these look a little over-saturated on this one. Which version did you like best?

Messier 26

That is a nice result for a "time filler". Lots of background stars too.

And here is the Ha-SII-OIII mix if you would rather have blue halos.
