Can you believe it!  That was fatal for sure a few years ago.  Yay engineers!  Did you see the tire come back and whack the victim again, at the end.  It is like it was possessed!

Good.  Are you opposed to our system of justice?

Congratulations to you, as you got what you wished for.

As Mark Levin just came on the radio and said "we are now in a frightening period in our country".

This is grave and it will just get worse.

Go have a party and celebrate.  The United States justice system is in total collapse and has become completely political.

And this is what happens when Democrat Socialists/Communists have complete control.

We are now no better than the Stalinist Soviet Union of Yore.

Banana Republic stuff.  sad
I want to be clear here.  Richard, you are accusing Bragg of stepping over the line into tyranny.  In addition you have made gratuitous references to "totalitarianism,"  "total collapse of the justice system," "Communists," "Stalinists," and Banana Republic.  Just because Bragg obtained an indictment!

Don't you think you are drinking a bit too deeply from the kool-aid dispensed by Trump and his sycophants?

I see no evidence of tyranny at all in your post(s).  Bragg has convened a grand jury, the grand jury returned an indictment.  The system is working as designed.  Another prosecutor might have decided that this case was not worth bringing, but prosecutorial discretion is a feature of the system.  A lot of things can happen from here.  One outcome is that Trump can be convicted of a felony and pay his debt to society.  Alternatively, Trump could vindicate himself, and maybe by so doing embarrass Bragg into an early retirement.  Many possibilities in the middle.

No one is denying Trump his right to defend himself, cross examine witnesses, present evidence and attempt exoneration.  No one, not even you is alleging that the underlying payment to Stormy Daniels is a fiction made up by Trump's political enemies.

Why are you resorting to such absurd hyperbole?  ("tyranny," "totalitarianism,"  "total collapse of the justice system," "Communists," "Stalinists," and "Banana Republic." )   None of those ridiculous allegations even remotely apply unless Trump is imprisoned without trial, murdered by the state, or disappeared at the whim of his political enemies.

I know that you will not reply, except maybe to nit-pick or deflect.  I am posting this to highlight the absurdity of your position (and the position of Trump-bots like you) who would deny the system the right to progress in a normal fashion in this case, merely because it is your hero who has been indicted. Jim

This post is not as hypocritical as your bogus threat to Rod about your mom, in view of your PM to Brian...  But still....

Didn't you post about 100G of content accusing me of being a "feelings" voter, since I voted for Biden?  Didn't you post ad nauseum that I voted the way I did because of "mean tweets?"

I never thought any of that garbage you posted stuck, by the way, but it is damned funny for you to publicly admit that you are voting for Trump just because some mean old prosecutor decided to indict him.  I guess, to quote you, you are "butt-hurt?"   What ever happened to the alleged pure "issues" voter. Ha Ha, no one ever believed you on that point anyway, Richard.

They've leaked to the NY Times.

Cohen's own lawyer outlined what he believes Bragg's strategy is.

He's taking the financial records law and he's attempting to charge Trump based upon that for the offense that occurred way back in 2017.

According to those who are following and are lawyers, the statute for that state violation was 2 years, meaning that it ran out in 2019.

So that's a goner.  He's then trying to say that by Trump paying off Stormy Daniels, he was making use of campaign funds, but the $130,000 was paid by Michael Cohen who swore that he paid Stormy Daniels with his own money.

Michael Cohen's very own lawyer Robert Costello went in and told Bragg and about 10 other prosecuting attys on his team that Michael Cohen is a compulsive liar who told him personally that he would do anything and say anything in order NOT to go to jail.

Michael Cohen voluntarily rescinded his atty/client privilege with Robert Costello.

Robert Costello then told the world in 3 or 4 different interviews on Camera that Cohen was suicidal and is the biggest liar he's ever heard.

Costello also said that Cohen in his suicidal state, when questioned for hours by Costello indicated that he had Nothing on Donald Trump to use to help himself out.  Costello said that he paced back and forth in Costello's office and was asked over and over, is there anything you have on Trump that you could use to help yourself?

According to Costello, Cohen said to him "I swear Bob, I don't have anything on Trump".

As Cohen pointed out, if Michael Cohen had anything on Trump, as he was suicidal at the time (as Costello relayed his mindset), he was so desperate that he would have told him whatever he had to nail Trump.

Costello has reiterated many times now that Cohen told him that he had nothing on Trump.

And Cohen is Alvin Bragg's star witness.

Costello also said that he had heard about Cohen's testimony and that he knew Cohen lied on the witness stand to the Grand Jury telling them that he never rescinded his atty/client privilege and Costello held up a document with Cohen's signature across the bottom which said just that, he rescinded his atty/client privilege.

So according to Cohen's own lawyer, Michael Cohen has lied repeatedly and is making things up and committing perjury to the Grand Jury.

And yes I'm opposed to a trial based upon lies to the Grand Jury by a convicted liar who went to prison for perjury and convicted criminal Michael Cohen.

I'm opposed to a trial that is based upon cobbling together actions based upon a law whose statute ran out over 4 years ago, and as Dershowitz pointed out is being ignored by the Prosecuting atty Bragg.

And as Dershowitz pointed out this is the worst abuse of Power he has ever witnessed in his 60 years of Practicing.

In fact Alan Dershowitz says he is now going to sue Michael Cohen for defamation of character for the lies He told about Alan Dershowitz.

So apparently, even Alan Dershowitz is saying that Michael Cohen is a liar, lying publicly about him as well.

And this is Bragg's star witness.

Take offense if you like but I'll take the analysis of a lawyer who does revere the Constitution, over the assertions of another "lawyer" who doesn't care about the Constitution, and doesn't care about Due Process for that defendant, when the corrupt system goes after the defendant he hates with a passion because the TDS clouding his head is overriding any sense of fairness and civil liberties that the defendant in question has under that Constitution.

Anything else I can clear up for you?  smile
Could be that you are right.  If 1/10th of your post turns out to be true, Trump will exonerate himself and Bragg will go down in history as a bad prosecutor who made a horrible tactical error, permanently staining his office and career.

We gotta see the indictment and then we gotta see Trump's defense before we know if any of the details you posted are true.  Until then, talking heads gotta talk on the cable news shows and partisans like you gotta pre-judge the case.   No helping that.

Agreed, and pretty much in line with the sources you've noted. Bibi is overstepping on this one, to be sure, but I hope he finally backs off on this one.
On a similar level, this reminds me of what we're seeing now, with the house GOP leadership and various notable GOP leaders elsewhere condemning Alvin Bragg before they even know what the counts are and threatening to take steps against him. Their actions threaten the independence of a judicial system in much the same manner as with Bibi...
Not the same as a practical matter.  The GOP can bluster, but they can't change the federal judicial system without Constitutional amendment.  Apparently in Israel, they can do a fundamental judicial overhaul by majority legislation.  That would be scary here.  Score one for the wisdom of the Constitution.

She was paid.  She was paid by Michael Cohen out of his personal bank account.  Cohen's atty, Bob Costello verified that on camera several times now.

And there is nothing illegal about having a Non Disclosure Agreement.  They are initiated and agreed upon 1000s of times every day in this country.

So there was nothing illegal about the NDA that was agreed upon by both parties.  In fact Congressmen have engaged in them over and over to pay their affairs and keep their affairs out of the spotlight.

And the ironic thing is that Stormy Daniels violated the NDA she signed.

Now as to your petty assertion where you claim I am a Trump Bot?  I believe in the Rule of Law and I believe in Due Process.

My support of the Constitution has blinders on and unlike yourself, I don't want the Rule of Law to be tossed into the toilet, ignored, and thrown out the window when it is bastardized to jail a person I don't like.

And just because you are willing to permit a corrupt prosecutor to railroad and create laws and powers he doesn't have, out of whole cloth to GET Donald Trump, I'm not willing to throw the Constitution out the window to satiate my hatred of a person.

And here's something I'll point out to the listening crowd that you never will.

When a Grand Jury is convened, the Accused has no defense whatsoever. They aren't permitted to get into the Grand Jury hearings and present their side and their defense.

Which is of course why the saying goes " A Grand Jury can indict a ham sandwich" because it is all ONE sided with the prosecution selectively presenting facts they only want the jury to see and hear.

So therefore when you smugly make the claim that the Grand Jury heard the evidence and decided to agree to indict, as if that is something HOLY, it is nothing of the sort.

What it indicates is that the corrupt prosecutor presented the selective evidence to the Grand Jury and they based their decision on the selective evidence that the prosecutor presented to them.
It is true that a corrupt prosecutor can manipulate a grand jury.  Of course, if he does not have a case the prosecutor will be embarrassed at trial.  So the solution is for Trump to exonerate himself if he can, not to act (over-act) like this is some sort of miscarriage of justice before the facts are out.  Have you backed off of your earlier hyperbole: ""totalitarianism,"  "total collapse of the justice system", "Communists," "Stalinists," and "Banana Republic."" ?

Rich has lost his mind Greg - I agree innocent until proven guilty.  Of course.  That does not mean that Trump is immune from prosecution, or that the US is some banana republic just because a grand jury has indicted Trump.  Trump and his team can put up a defense, or they can sit back and see if NY can actually prove a case.  Or both.  Either way, if they win, Trump, me, Richard and everyone else short of Pelosi will say that Trump is exonerated.  Would it be better if I said, "he had beat the rap?"  Jim
