Cool shot. Getting brighter? Again? Do you have links or references? That sounds very interesting. Thanks.

ITSY BITSY CHIP, large FOV?

Posted By Charles Hakes

I wonder if that chip is so small that stopping down your lens really helps that much. Most are pretty good in the middle. Might depend on the lens manufacturer. (?) That might be an interesting comparison to try several shots using different f-stops/shutter speeds to get equal exposures. What is the chip size and pixel size with that lens?

(This is another thing in my queue to try. I have an adapter for various Canon lenses and the SBIG camera, but haven't gotten that far yet.)

I guess this would really change your targets, but what about a barlow?

My 1st narrowband color image!

Way cool. How much exposure time did you end up getting? Looks way better than any of my "first try's". I still need to work on processing my version, but haven't had the time.

Nice. The colors look just right. Looks like there should be a giant O or B star just off the field of view that is blowing the dust away. (?)

Nice. I like those in the "context" of the background field.

M33 and a QHY8

Nice catch. You can see the faint arms going out quite a ways, and the mix of colors looks "natural".

Tarantula Nebula

Nice wide shot. (FOV?) I wish we could see that object. I am also curious about how you mixed your colors. 6 different filters if i understand you?

That is a nice capture. And big enough and detailed enough that those crops look great too.
