Mel, Dr Fauci isn't talking produce and neither am I. We're talking about the problem at hand and that is the transmission of infectious diseases from wild animals sold in these markets. So, either the markets have to close or the animals have to be prevented from being sold in the first place.

Those words are yours so it certainly seems that you disagreed with me when I said they should be closed....
Once more, I agree with Dr Fauci and others that the wet markets should be closed. I posted a link about it while you, on the other hand, posted a link as to why they should remain open because they also sell produce. If somebody else sells produce as in a supermarket in China, where it's readily available, then so be it. I'm more concerned, as Dr Fauci is, about stopping the sale of wild animals due to transmission of viruses like the coronavirus. Clear enough?

Oh, I see and your statement about selling the produce either there or elsewhere was out of concern that the produce may either be a vector for disease transmission or that it shouldn't go to waste when it could be sold elsewhere. How thoughtful of you...

I suggested they could sell the produce somewhere else
You guessed wrong. I've maintained all along the wet markets should be shut down and that's been my point all along and I could care less if the produce is sold elsewhere. YOU brought up the whole business about the produce, not me...
