I use contact cement. Others have used carpenters glue but it's harder to clamp the ES to the plywood because it wants to slip and move around.

I'd glue all the way to the edge and clean up any squeeze out after everything sets up. If you leave a void at the edge, you might have issues later on.

I was just curious to compare a "typical' solid mirror weight with a 10" "cellular" mirror from hubble Optics. HO quotes 4 pounds for their cellular 10". The light weight could be a challenge if one was making a truss type scope.
