I"m using Fuji Superia X-TRA 400 right now. I have had excellent results with it in the past on several objects.

I've done it here in FL on several occassions in our club. In all honesty I would have to call it a close draw, with maybe the 10" being a little better.
Another club member has an 11" SM and it wasn't noticably better than the 9.25. They are in deed very good scopes!

Charles, That is a good question for which there are no easy answers.
I have a scope made using one of the Orion 6" f/6.7 mirrors and am very pleased with it. For 90.00 it would be hard to beat no matter what the cost. A friend has an Orion 6" f/8 ota that gives very good images.
The other side of the coin is the repeatability from one sample to the next. I haven't seen any outright bashing of Orion mirrors on AM and Lord knows there must be hundreds or even thousands of them out there. I don't think Parks makes there own mirrors so there is no real guarantee their mirror would be better. Price is not ALWAYS a positive factor
Personally, I would go for the Orion. If you get a lemon, give me a call - after you have called Orion to return it. They have an excellent reputation for customer service.

If you float a triangle with three points at each of the 9 existing points you will have a 27 point floation cell. Check the Kreige & Berry book for instructions.

Well, as owner of a C-8 Orange tube, I will say that with care, taking a corrector off is no big deal. Do it on a table, with a large towel in front of you. First, note the orientation of the corrector (put a piece of tape, etc on the top of the secondary at the 12 o'clock position). Carefully remove the screws and carefully let the corrector tilt out onto the towel. Note if there are any shims behind the corrector and where they are located as you tilt it out.
Remove the spider and replace. Do not overtighten the screws.

My friend Ray and I will be leaving on Friday AM early. It's a LONG drive from Orlando!!
We will be staying all week and sure hope the weather cooperates. This will be our first TSP. Look forward to seeing all the A'marters there!
