I am aware of these allegations.  Like I said, any rational person must wait to see how the evidence plays out in a proper proceeding before any sort of conclusion can be drawn.   Only a fool can delude himself into thinking these are yes/no questions at this point in time.

This is a political tightrope.   I suspect all of the R candidates in their private moments despise Trump.   He has a large base of Richards though - people who think the hallmark of conservatism is 24/7 bashing of the left.  Can the candidates afford to call out Trump for what he actually is and still be competitive?  Maybe not.  It could be that Trumps fan boys do control the nomination, and it will not matter if all the candidates denounce Trump, sooner or later.

On the other hand, my poor D friends are seemingly stuck with Biden.  I don't think I know anyone who gives him a ringing endorsement.   I can still hope that Trump's alleged criminal acts will be proven and that this is enough to take him down before the convention.   I have been called Pollyanna before!

Wanting parents to be able to choose the school their children attend rather than being forced to go to the dismal public schools because they can't get a gov't voucher to pay for their school of choice is really a fascist thought isn't it?

Wanting Americans not to have to worry about their employers forcing them to wear a mask at the threat of losing their jobs, dictated by the gov't during a Covid pandemic which was so filled with lies about it, coming from the left that it isn't even funny, is surely fascist isn't it?

Wanting the gov't during the Covid 19 pandemic not to be able to just SHUT DOWN private businesses is surely a fascist principle isn't it?

Wanting the gov't to quit spending like drunken sailors and increasing taxes on the American citizen when the country was in a recession because one is worried about the gov't running the people into the ground fiscally is definitely a fascist principle isn't it?

Wanting to permit OIL drilling and other energy production such as natural gas, on public and private lands so that gas prices stabilize and don't go through the roof is a definite fascist idea isn't it?

Wanting gov't to pass reductions in tax rates so that the American citizen isn't saddled with massive uncontrollable debt and taxes is sure a fascist thought isn't it?

Wanting Fewer regulations everywhere especially the ones on businesses so they aren't saddled with more costs that are passed on to consumers is really a fascist idea isn't it?

Wanting parents to be able to challenge school districts to keep Porn out of the libraries in Elementary and Middle Schools all over the nation, so that their small children aren't permitted to view these materials without their knowledge is really a fascist idea, now isn't it?

Wanting to curb the permittance of teachers everywhere who are taking young girls to abortion clinics without the Knowledge of their parents or guardians is definitely a fascist idea isn't it?

Wanting kids who are minors NOT to be mutilated by crazy doctors out there who are performing mastectomies and hysterectomies to young girls and irreversible sex changes to pre-pubescent boys, who aren't mature enough to make that life altering, non-reversible decision, is surely fascist isn't it?

Wanting to Keep MEN out of Women's sports and girls locker rooms, because it is SO damned unfair to the girls who are having to compete with biological males who have a huge advantage over them is very fascist isn't it?

Wanting to have the right to freedom of expression on social media platforms like Facebook and Twitter, rather than having conservative thoughts and ideas being censored by the left, who it is now been proving to have been colluding with Facebook and Twitter is really a fascist principle isn't it?

Believing in Freedom of speech and expression of thought is truly a fascist principle isn't it?

Believing that American citizens in this country have the right to self-protection and the right to defend themselves by supporting the 2nd amendment and the right to bear arms is truly, truly fascist isn't it?

Yes, yes, those are all such Fascist Principles.  Those are my beliefs.

But I guess when you can't refute my other response to your absurd posting where you dodge a simple question about the gov't weaponizing the FBI and DOJ against Conservative Republicans, the next best thing is entering the forum communist's thread, sucking up to him, and hiding behind his skirttail.

You truly are a suck up joke of a RINO aren't you?  LOL  smile

P.S.  To address the challenge that the resident communist claimed, that I support overthrowing an election, I surely don't.  I wasn't in support of all the Democrat States changing the election laws at the court level at the last minute and permitting all kinds of fraud as the Penn. S.C. did, permitting ballots to be counted that weren't signed, were past the due date, etc... as You and the Marxist Democrat party did.

I also didn't support as I've stated many times here.

However I am against mail in balloting, ballot harvesting, and all the other deceitful methods by Democrats to inject corruption and fraud into the elections in many different states, and I didn't make excuses for the left for all the election fraud that did occur in the 2020 election, as you seem to support.
I am a screed generator at least, if I do say so myself!

I almost pissed myself with this LOL moment.   I can't believe that you are harping on 2020 election fraud!  No meaningful fraud occurred as proved to everyone with any intelligence by the dismissal of each and every one of Trump's BS election fraud lawsuits, plus the sanctioning of his BS election fraud lawyers.  I should say former lawyers because many were disbarred for gross dishonesty.

On second thought, this is a troll right?   There is no way you are actually stupid enough to believe fraud affected the outcome of the 2020 election.   Hell, even Trump does not think that!

You are right that I support Colorado's wonderful, best in the nation, most secure, and most timely counted mail-out, drop-off ballot system.   I have posted extensively about this in the past and you only make foolish token rebuttals.   Good gracious my man, take off the tin-foil hat!   The fraud accompanying our national elections is: (1) statistically insignificant, (2) equally bi-partisan, and (3) the subject of the biggest lie ever foisted on his ostensible party by a major candidate in the history of the nation.   Since fools like you lap it up, the Republican party is dead, at least for the time being, and the nation is hopelessly bifurcated.  Nice work.

She politely remains silent and turns away. I know what she wants to say - when it came/comes down to it, I will not vote for the man she "hates" and would vote for and fund his opponent if I was able to.
This is a sad tale Russ.   I expect someone like Richard to define "conservative" without any reference to conservative principles, but not your spouse who is obviously intelligent.

How did Trump pull this off?  As Jim M. mentioned, no one thinks Trump can win nationally against anyone the Ds care to nominate, given that he has lost a sizable chunk of his 2020 support with the big lie, and picked up little if any new support.   He can, apparently, get the nomination though (I sure hope not, but still...).  Former Rs like Brian are demanding a complete annihilation and party re-birth before they will consider voting for a conservative candidate.   I am happy to vote R for candidates I like (who are not Trump) but hey, recently they have all lost.   Maybe this is just the process the Rs (or the successor conservative party) have to go through to atone for the sin of electing Trump.   40 years in the desert, or something like that...

Jim

p.s. I'm guessing here wrt Ms. Carroll, but a lot of conservative Christians threw their vote to Trump because of one issue - abortion.   Trump delivered more or less.  It is a thin victory nonetheless, because people still seek abortions and many states are assuring access to abortion services.   The most dramatic and of course most predictable result of the Court overturning Roe (and I agree with the legal reasoning applied by the majority) was to move this issue to the political front burner much to the detriment of conservatives.

NYT: Previously Secret Memo Laid Out Strategy for Trump to Overturn Biden’s Win

I would call it a rational, "If it is true, it is concerning, however I find it hard to believe."

I would go even farther though - if what you believe about the "Biden Crime Family" theories is ultimately proven to be true, I would expect Joe Biden to die in prison.  Heck if 10% of what you believe is proven to be true, I would expect Joe Biden to die in prison.  I do find it hard to believe that Joe Biden committed the crimes you think he did.

So far, Joe has not been proved to have broken the law.  If he is proved to have broken the law at some point I expect him to be punished.  So far he has not been indicted or impeached, and goodness knows there are armies of partisans out there trying to build a case against him.

As you know, but conveniently forget, I posted extensively about the scum Hunter Biden is, and how ridiculous his sweetheart deal was.   I am glad it is on hold.  Hunter belongs in prison for a couple years.

That falls under the heading of Your opinion now doesn't it.

Has she ever been overturned by the US Supreme Court in Unanimous fashion the way the most prominent leftist attack dog was?

Jack Smith the titular HEAD of the DOJ today, that guy WAS overturned by the Supreme and he WAS REBUKED by them was he not?

That happened.  The answer would be a "well yes Rich he was".

Is that what you just uttered under your breath James?  wink

And this is the guy that we're all supposed to believe is a man with stellar character and credentials?

IF ALL the liberal/leftist Justices on the Supreme Court were in LOCKSTEP agreement that Jack Smith was out of line and overstepped his bounds, then you tell me why I and every other Conservative or Republican should trust him to be fair.

I've already outlined how he has bastardized the statutes, using a Ku Klux Klan statute from 150 years ago and has twisted it out of all recognition in order to try and get Pres. Trump.

He's nothing but an attack dog for the left and for this corrupt Attorney General Merrick Garland.

If you want to address Jack Smith's rebuke by the SCOTUS, feel free, or ignore it.

Honestly, I surely couldn't care less.  smile
We've covered this before Rich, you are misusing the word "titular."   Garland is unambiguously the titular head of the DOJ.  You are arguing that Smith is the de facto head.

Also, Smith was not rebuked by the Supreme Court.  He was overturned.  The details are here if anyone cares:  https://casetext.com/case/united-states-v-mcdonnell-19

The Supreme Court only hears novel and unsettled cases.  In this instance, Smith was overly aggressive in his application of the bribery statute, in the opinion of the unanimous court.   Roberts did chastise Smith and noted that overly aggressive prosecution is a threat to liberty.   He was not formally rebuked or punished in any way.  (For good examples of hard-core punishment/rebuke, see Trump's big lie lawyers.)

It might surprise you to know that I think Smith was a very poor choice for this special counsel assignment.   I am willing to consider that Garland let his emotions get the better of his judgement when he selected Smith for this job.   Smith's extreme aggressiveness is one reason I think Trump is going to beat the charges.  Time will tell.   All the rational observer can do at this point is watch the proceedings play out.  Jim
