Wuhan Lab Escape Theory Gains Traction

Posted By Rod Kaufman

Oh boys, I hate to interrupt your love fest but the topic of this thread, as evidenced by its title, is where the virus originated and not your rants. So, in order to bring you back to the reality of the thread, here's what Secretary of State Pompeo said today:
"Secretary of State Mike Pompeo also called on Beijing "to come clean" on what it knows."
Trump, when pressed, had this to say: "I don't want to discuss what I talked to him about the laboratory, I just don't want to discuss, it's inappropriate right now."
If not now, when?...

Wuhan Lab Escape Theory Gains Traction

Posted By Rod Kaufman

Once more, I'll take charge of the thread I initiated and bring us back to the topic at hand although I the realize elimination of an opposing political party, as advocated by the cons on the forum, obviously takes priority.
Updates:
"Dr Lentzos said the issue of its origin was a "very difficult question", and added that "there have been quiet, behind-the-scene discussions... in the biosecurity expert community, questioning the seafood market origin that has come out very strongly from China"."
"President Donald Trump, who has been coming under fire over his administration's response to the pandemic, said that the US government is investigating the lab theory."
There now, you're up to date!

Wuhan Lab Escape Theory Gains Traction

The lab(s) apparently isolated the virus from bats and given what's in the Washington Post article today, American officials over there in 2018 were freaking out about the lack of precautions in their labs...
"Multiple reports have detailed how China is blocking U.S. researchers from information about the virus, including live samples of the virus needed to develop a vaccine.
“They didn’t make the virus available to anyone,” former FDA Commissioner Dr. Scott Gottlieb told National Review editor Rich Lowry. ” . . . They didn’t make the live virus available. The United States eventually got the live virus, but they got it weeks later than they otherwise could have, and that delayed development of diagnostic tests.”

After much research - The bottom line

"2. It very well may turn out that this will end up killing as many people as the Flu in a bad season, or perhaps 50% More in numbers." Or perhaps 100% more than without the mitigation efforts but, hey, what's that compared to the death panels of Obamacare...

What you don't remember all the hysterics coming from wingnuts about the so-called death panels in the Obamacare program? Having cognitive issues? Selective amnesia? On the one hand we're talking death rates as opposed to curtailing our rights and a significant cost of loss of life but that's just price we'll need to pay but when the discussion in the past was imaginary right wing death panels in Obamacare even one death was too many for the conservatives on the forum...

It's legitimate to talk about sexual assault allegations against any candidate for the Presidency, including Donald J. Trump and Biden, and she has the right to be heard. No one should ever be allowed to gloss over or make excuses for their history in this regard.

From Fox:
"Reade initially stepped forward last year, when multiple women emerged claiming inappropriate touching by Biden. Reade, at the time, claimed Biden put his hands on her shoulders and rubbed his fingers up and down her neck, but the story got no traction aside from an article in a local newspaper."
"In late-March, Reade told a far more graphic account, with different and more serious details, raising the allegation to the level of sexual assault."
Obviously, one has to wonder why there's a major discrepancy in her account from last year as compared to the one made last month...
"Women have a right to tell their story, and reporters have an obligation to rigorously vet those claims. We encourage them to do so, because these accusations are false," Kate Bedingfield, the deputy campaign manager and communications director for the Biden campaign, said in a statement to Fox News."

Jim
Meanwhile, Donald John Trump is currently taking/tweeting his cues from Fox news with regards to opening the country and you're worried about left bias over hearing from Tara Reade. Got it!
