Trump suggests Mark Milley should be executed in possible breach of pre-trial release conditions

This seems like it's pointed at you, but it's pointed at the above - you don't fall into this category since you will not vote for him. You might be an accomplice (metaphorically) if you do not vote for his opponent (Biden) or end up reassuring the above voters that a vote for Trump is harmless.
Understood - I'll vote for Biden of course, if it is him v. Trump.   Blech.

I am not sure why you are so certain the safeguards are insufficient if Trump wins.   Yes there will be ugliness and criminality like there was on Jan 6 as motivated by the big lie.   But at the end of the day Biden assumed the office of president as scheduled.  It was not even close to an effective coup.   The military, the police, the Congress, The VP, and the judiciary all supported Biden.   What happened was many hundreds of deluded idiots threw away their lives in a short-lived criminal enterprise.

Yes, Trump may try harder this time, but the guardrails were not even tested last time.   I know you hate it when I say that, but it is true.  The only people who supported the insurrection were criminal idiots, most of whom now regret their folly from jail.  Zero institutions and zero officials supported Trump.  He lost every damn court case he brought.  Biggly.

Sure, we can speculate that Trump plus a compliant military can actually achieve a coup this time, but that is the fanciful thinking in my view, not recognizing the reality of the robustness of our institutions which were not even close to being breached on Jan 6, before, or after.

Rest assured that even though I trust the institutional guardrails a lot, I am not out encouraging the persuadable voter (if there are any left) to go ahead and vote for trump because his evil impulses can be contained by our system.   This is just an argument I am making with you and James.  Big fish in a teeny tiny pond!

BTW I know I've said this before, but I haven't seen many of the righties who post here like Greg or Darian in a while? Are you guys alright?
I don't know about Greg and Darian - but Rod (certainly no righty angel ) is planning on re-joining in October.

Hi Darian:  Wow, that is a really cool itinerary!   Do you have several weeks?

Joe Biden Risks Our Future

I say this because he and his campaign are significantly holding back on attacking Trump UNTIL Trump secures the nomination IMO.

I heard talking heads whine this morning about the mainstream press not covering Biden speech yesterday on the existential threat the MAGA wing of the GOP is. "Joe Biden believes they poses an existential threat...blah blah blah". Bullshit. If Joe Biden actually thought that, he would risk losing to another more formidable GOP candidate in 24. If Biden really thought it was an existential crisis, he wouldn't give an obscure speech about it, he would schedule a national address from the resolute desk and say it. If he really thought it could end democracy in the US, his campaign would be running attack ads on Trump non-stop.

Just another pol at his core.
Agreed that the Ds and their side of the press corps are doing all they can to assure Trump the nomination.   2016 all over again.   Once again the Ds are going to run the one person on Earth who might lose to Trump too.

I agree of course.  You have an edginess to your posts this morning.   Are you becoming worried that Trump might actually win?   That would ruin my weekend by the way.

Things seem like a toss-up right now. Like Bidens advisors probably think, I think things will look radically different next fall. The blistering attacks on Trump that are coming will land on the people that really matter in this election - the same voters that kept him out of the White House in 2020. I think the margin of victory for Biden will be even wider this time.

A lot can go wrong, though. Im old enough to remember that Biden suffered 2 brain aneurysm in the late 80s. I thought at a minimum his career was over. What happens if his expiry date is Oct 1, 2024? There are way too many things that could go wrong to not be truly afraid of a possible Trump victory. Wiser people in the DNC should realize this and attack Trump now in the hopes that someone else is the GOP nominee. But that would require putting country over party and power.

Speaking of CA, what's the latest on Rod?
I believe he'll be back in October.

It would take a long time to read the whole document, but it is full of hilarious nuggets. The Judge is not only scolding Trump and his attorneys for being lying incompetent boobs, he openly mocks them.
The Court Order Russ posted is chock-full of proof of brazen fraud.  The good stuff regarding fraudulent valuations starts at about page 20.   A few good nuggets:
