Hi all,

Here is an image of Mars shot on August 27. I didn't think seeing was very good, but the final product isn't too bad.

Mars September 1, 2005

Hi all,

It looked like seeing would be really nice this morning, but a rouge duststorm came through last night and dropped seeing a point or two. The image is nice, but I was hoping for volcanos....ah well, try again tomorrow.

3x Barlow

Posted By Paul Maxson

Just curious what the opinions are on who makes the best 3x barlow? I have a Televue 3x barlow and I really like it and am just wondering if I might do better. I own 2.5x and 5x Powermates as well and use them on my Mewlon 250.

Thanks!!

Sunspot group AR808

Posted By Paul Maxson

Hi all,

With the emergence of AR808 on the sun, I pulled out the ED100 and got these images from Sept 9 and 10. Seeing was much better on the 10th. I used a 535nm green filter for the Sept 10 image. I found the key to using that filter is to add about 10-15% gain.

Mars September 9, 2005

Hi all,

Here is Mars shot in soft conditions on September 9, am. The colour image was shot with the Lumenera camera as I am finally starting to get the hang of it (I hope). The individual colour images were shot with the Toucam.....I'll be experimenting with those on the Lum soon.
