Earthquake!

I slept through the 4.7, but not the 5.6! I was out of bed heading for the kitchen before I was fully awake! That was amazing! Lasted what, 30 seconds? Everything in the house was rattling, floor was rumbling. Hey, we have a chance for severe weather/tornadoes tomorrow. Maybe we can have a two-fer...an earthquake during a tornado! shocked

Sunspot! (Again)

I observed it today in white light, and through my 40mm PST. This is one of the most interesting (and huge!) spots in a long time. I hooked an old Canon Powershot G2 up to the solar scope, and made this image this morning. This one is definitely worth taking a look at!

Very nice! Maybe a little green on the color balance, but some good detail there! I'm getting ready to get my feet wet in the webcam imaging pool, with a ToUcam I just bought here. Your image here makes me even more excited!

Another suggestion would be to set the exposure manually, if you are not. Auto-exposure won't work for this kind of target.
