Poll: Where will the war end (choose one)

Posted By Paul Kammueller

"Personally, I think your survey sucks..."
"...at least learn not how to ask a loaded question..."

The author of this survey would like to point out that, while the subject matter of the survey has been researched, objective survey methodologies have not. Also the blank answer was designed specifically for those who would like to take this loaded question and re-load it as they see fit. Those who object are invited to write their own survey. ;-)

What happened to them all?

Good God. I thought this was a joke at first, I never heard it in the news. People actually went over there to do this!? How stupid would you have to be?

U.S. vs. World media coverage

BBC seems as balanced as any I've been able to find. But really finding objectivity in times of war is almost a futile exercise. I don't watch the TV news.

Linearity in optics

Posted By Paul Kammueller

Yup, it's linear. Diameter of the light cone will vary in direct proportion to the distance you've traveled down the focal length.

It's only infinitely small at the focal point if the objective is optically perfect, of course ;-)

Telescope Arrived

Posted By Paul Kammueller

Yes that's totally normal. It won't affect your field of view or anything when it's in the scope. Just has to do with how the lenses in the eyepiece bend incoming rays when you hold it up at arm's length and look at it.

MTF expert needed

Diffractive science aside, it looks enough like a radioactive warning label to scare away would-be thieves or vandals (but might also attract unwanted attention from neighbors and local authorities).

"And then there are the Methane Hydrates in the ocean floors, that may become a major source of energy in the future. "

Methane?!

I'm not gonna drive anything that farts more than I do.

Divinity of Jesus

I say:

1) human (my opinion)
2) real (I think the discovery of James' burial box last year pretty well sewed that one up)
