So if someone intrudes onto your front porch and steals your newspaper, you have a right to use deadly force?

Well, for my part, just watched back to back screenings of Sicario and Sicario Day of Soldier on FX. No punches pulled with those two...

Rich, your internet persona is annoying at the best of times, but one of the worst things you do, and you do it all the time, is make garbage up and attribute it to someone else on the forum.  I have never argued for the schools to remain closed.  This is something you fabricated and got wrong.  I don't expect you to man up to your error, that is beyond you.  Next you'll move the goalposts.

Jim,
From my perspective, I believe the school openings should be considerative of the relative number of covid cases in the community. Those at risk in higher areas of known infection should be curtailed while those in communities with lower incidence of infection should be reopened. Here's what we know from experiences in other countries:

You must be flattering your own ego to think that.  tongue
As for the first charge you made about my posting, apparently you think I wasted lines.
Well let me do away with lines and just posit this for your consideration.

(Sorry Greg for borrowing your image.  I hope you don't mind in this instance)

LOL
That's what the Republicans in the senate did today by cutting unemployment in the middle of the pandemic by 2/3 while including 100% write offs for 3 martini lunches and entertainment for business expenditures. If that actually passes in the bill, they'll pay the price come November...

"A National Guard official will tell Congress that the widely criticized decision to forcefully clear protesters from a park outside the White House last month was made even though demonstrators were acting peacefully, a view at odds with public comments by top Trump administration officials."
""The demonstrators were behaving peacefully, exercising their First Amendment rights," DeMarco is expected to say, adding he was surprised the clearing operation began well in advance of a 7 p.m. ET curfew set by Washington, DC, Mayor Muriel Bowser."

The educated Negro of today is a failure, not because he meets insuperable difficulties in life, but because he is a Negro. He is, in brief, a low-caste man, to the manner born, and he will remain inert and inefficient until fifty generations of him have lived in civilization. And even then, the superior white race will be fifty generations ahead of him."

"The Jews could be put down very plausibly as the most unpleasant race ever heard of. As commonly encountered, they lack many of the qualities that mark the civilized man: courage, dignity, incorruptibility, ease, confidence. They have vanity without pride, voluptuousness without taste, and learning without wisdom. Their fortitude, such as it is, is wasted upon puerile objects, and their charity is mainly a form of display."
"Republican Sen. David Perdue's campaign took down a Facebook ad that appeared to make Democratic candidate Jon Ossoff's nose bigger, following accusations of anti-Semitism."
"The Facebook ad, showing Ossoff next to Senate Democratic Leader Chuck Schumer, said, "Democrats are trying to buy Georgia!"
The Ossoff campaign noted that both he and Schumer are Jewish."

You are confusing the issues, one being political differences and the other being a political ad on an opponent based upon false stereotypes...

Interesting point in the exchange today between Barr and a Democratic Rep wherein she points out he's wasn't aware of armed protesters that swarmed the office of the governor of Michigan, demanding she be lynched or beheaded:

I don't see anything about it from the cons on the forum who vent their righteous indignation about a broken gait...
