How to attach those triangles in a mirror cell?

Posted By Yu Gu

Hello,

I am working on a 12.5" scope. I bought a University optics mirror cell but not quite satisfied. I am planing to turn it into a 9 point floating cell. But How should I attach those triangles to the frame? Just use a screw to bolt it down with a nut in between?

Thanks,
Gu

Which one do you like better? or neither?

Posted By Yu Gu

Hi my friends,

Since the seeing was continuesly bad I spent most of my time on processing the mars. Unlike jupiter or saturn I have big touble to get a nature processing for the red planet. Here are two samples of processing please kindly let me know what do you think.

First light of my new scope!

Posted By Yu Gu

Hello Friends,

Finally sky cleared up so I can test my newly built 12.4"F6 reflactor. The transparancy is very good (7/10) but the seeing is so so (2-3/10). But the scope is really sharp and I am very happy with the results!

Clear skies,
