The Sunni's seem to fear a Shi'ite Government and were not holy enthusiastic about the elections. The pulled out for political reasons, they fear a Shi'ite majority.

I do not believe not having the elections make it any safer, only worse. Having the elections is the only way to go. Time to move forward.

It's time for the Iraq people to stand up to the gang violence and election exstortion and take back thier country. I believe election turnout will be the same as Afganistan, but whatever it is, it will have to be a start. It is not close to a perfet world, even in America you have less the 50% turnout sometimes.

Is he the same guy who thought that we did not need to go to Bagdad in the intial part of this conflict in 1991 because Saddam would be overthrown?

Many people forget that we were governed by a set of documents call the Artical of Confederation after a violent birth. This needed revisement at a latter date because it did not work. There were problems with our government that did not stabilize for 100 years after it's founding. Building a government is not a immediate thing. It will take time and bloodshed and probably bloodshed, but it must go forward.

This happens all the time on the left and right of the spectrum. No hard Questions, or follow up, soft balls. Were you expecting something different? If so you haven't been paying attention for quite some time.

By the way, Iraq/SH was unfinished business that needed to be closed so progress could be made in other areas, 911 was a excuse to take care of something the international community failed to do anything about.

Since the leading clerics disqualified some leading moderate canidates, I doubt they fit a definition of a people chosen government. I certainly hope we have a war plan for Iran, and operatives operating on the inside. Spy's are a must! They have some internal problems, maybe we can cause a problem internally and not use our forces.

I know, I know, they are a nice friendly government that only wishes well to people. Death to America really means I love you in Persian. Their desire to export their revolution only means they want to get along with everyone.
The part of there foriegn policy that wants Isreal wiped off the map, Thats really a diplomatic big hug, they want face to face talks so they can share recipes.

We need to be their friends. Let's leave them alone. I know, lets help them get Nuclear reactors, it for the benefit of everyone.

I beleive Californa has additional taxs add to it that helps keep the price up. It also has some additional fuel requirments not adopted by the rest of the country. It cannot share fuel supplies with the rest of the country, so it cost
are higher.

There are serval stations in my areas with just two choices, 87 and 92. There price is not any cheaper then the ones with 3 choices. Murphy Gas (Sam's) was selling it for 15 cents lower then others in the area and got in trouble for selling gas below cost which is illegal in our state. That is probably what is happening with such a huge retailer like Costco, maybe right at cost because of the volume of retail for the same site.

Gas cost are a little bit more complex then then "There ought to be a law" populism.

I know someone who is almost certain that George Soros was behind the seemingly unprecedented rise is gas prices just before the election.

Governments tend to regulate marriage as a social norm.

When the Bible was written and in early christianity, it was not uncommon to have mutiple wives. Monogamy is a Pagan virtue.
Why can't we have mutiple wives?
Why can't women have mutiple husbands?

The government also decided when you are an adult. This is crazy. Everyone is different. Some are never really adults. We should have a test, or maybe you for yourself decide you are an adult, we need this freedom of choice. The government interference into our private lives is cray.

I also have a friend who's mom was married at 12.5 years of age. This is not legal anymore. Why? Why should a 16 year who is acting as mature as any adult need a special court order to marry?

Why all this interference from the government?

I'll be glad to join the armed forces if you sign Half your pay to the federal government. I actual pay a additional .46 percent of my employees salaries to benefits, should I add that to the pot!
