Okay, let me start with...I have had this 201 for 2 years, bought on astro... and it didnt work, for sure. Sent it out and for hundred $$$.$$ had it fixed by meade.
Now, I know its hard to get to learn how to center guide stars and such. I did get it on a star and tracked well.. tried another one and it was too bright..read over 99 so went to options and reduced exposure time. never could get another track, went dimmer and and couldnt find the star. so went back to longer exposure. Back and forth for 3 hours. So, my first real try and had it track once, am I really just into the learning curve or have others gone out first night nad tracked fromthen on??
Brian anybody using this to track ?

this might go under insects,but, I know more of u look in here. This was made last fall. Anybody have a guess at what may be inside ? almost 3 inches tip to tip in the door jamb?

Hello, This was made last fall and is still intact it seems. Anybody have a guess at what may be inside ? almost 3 inches, maybe only 2" seems big!, tip to tip in the door jamb?

Okay, you got a sct reducer to 6.3f - what do you want your guider to be? I have heard something about half ...so, what is best? to be greater than or less than the scope taking the picture.

I have been dabling in this astro for couple years. I was wondering what the deal is with my sct fork mount. It vibrates like heck when u touch it. I know their is the road of electronic focusing which I seem to be headed down.
So, my ? is, with the other type of mounts How are the vibrations to settle down? I have seen the sct's like the celestron that are not fork mounted, is that a better mount than the forks? I have heard that dobsons are rock solid,but I dont think its practical for me to have a 12dob vs my compact sct. What are the best solid mounts styles out there?
I have my sct on a concrete pier in my shed.

Hello, I have been on a long astro vacation. looking to resume. A meade lx200 12sct on a pier mount, with an old lx50wedge. One of the items in my "like to do" pile, is zero image shift, along with computer remote control. I have a computer in my shed, and working on the link to my house. I think I need robo focus along with some type of clement focuser, and software. Can some of you share your similiar setups ?
