Hi Mark I,m glad you asked that question. I just got a really nice Argonaut 150 Mak. I tried my Televues the other night on jupiter and I too had to pull the eyepieces up a bit to get focus and yet my Televue zoom worked fine.
Just wasn,t enough focas travel. I think the newer models have increased focus travel. Is yours a newer model. How are the optics on yours on the planets. Email me so we can compare. [email protected] Thanks, Dave

taking the stand that you or the seller are not at fault and shipping is always risky I think you were as others have stated were more than fair to suggest a 50-50 split.I just sold a very good vcr on our site.I find my feedback invaluable on this site and would not risk blemishing it along with wanting my buyers to be satisfied with what they get.I would return your payment in full.

This thread is a scream.I sat down to the computer tonight remarking to my wife (Leni )that I was going to see if their were any good battles going on in the forum tonight ( just kidding guys ).Everytime I read one I chuckle and nod my head.Our son and daughter come over with the grandkids and I have to show em what dad has new.Their latest comment: Dad now don,t spend it all -- But kids this is so darn fun.

In this day of so called political correctness, which in my oppinion is not for the better when we go to extremes I can think of a much more simplier time.Its just one more thing that todays kids are missing that we had as kids such as a parent at home ,respect for our parents and others of authority.Anyway I say both and I,ve yet to see someone get all bent out of shape.People are free to express as they wish.Some are always offended by something.One of my friends at work is a Muslim, upon leaving I wished her a very merry Christmas and happy holidays just out of habit, she wasn,t offended and took it as it was meant.
