These things are tough to identify and this individual was particularly wary. My wife and I must look silly walking around the pond, talking to each other on cell phones, trying to agree on how best to corner this little bugger :-)

I went to a canyon near my house this evening and found this guy. The sun and shadows were terrible. I'll try again in the middle of the day. Canon 10D 100-400 IS at 400mm 1/250 f/5.6

Another shot from the canyon. I tried using my 1.4 teleconverter on the 100-400 lens for 560mm. It was tough to hold steady even with the image stabilizer running.
