First light image with 305 Honders Astrograph

Wow - you could get lost in all that field. And f3.8 is quite the eye opener too.

So... it sounds like the light has to go "through" the glass on the primary? Or is that what you mean by "second surface?" If so, does that make 7 optical surfaces?! I guess it is easier if they are all spherical, but still quite an accomplishment.

Gobs o' galaxies

Nice! Keep posting these Hallas shots, as they are great for showing what is possible. I'd like to get back to (a subset of) this cluster sometime this summer.

IC 1311 in Cygnus

Yes, lots of good stuff in there. Add more time, color, Ha, etc...

One hour/night? I have done much worse!

NGC 4244

I think it is a nice shot, even if it might not be as "exciting" as some other galaxies.

Beehive - wide field

Nice field, and it seems pretty flat, even though you say no flats. The colors look very natural, but I almost think you could bump the saturation a tiny bit and still be OK. Could be a monitor thing, too.

LBN 406 in Draco

That looks nice. Rather than the "difficulty" of processing, I am wondering about the relative sensitivity of the cameras. How does 4 hours with the one shot compare to 1.25 hrs each with RGB filters on a monochrome? Pretty close? Made and comparisons yet? (Sounds easier to take.)

Abell 2151 in color

This is way cool even without the mosaic. Is this more and/or a different exposure than his APOD last year? Any exposure and processing details available? Thanks for posting and reminding us of the quality we should shoot for.

Coma Cluster - Abell 1656

I like the crop version. Just need more time... Any idea of the sensitivity ratio between your DSLR and your other "astro" cameras?

Open cluster in Lyra

Nice cluster. Was this with the moon up? (You mention that with the M27 post.) That might affect any stretch?

Nice image. Sounds like a fun scope to use. Was is all remote, or were you touching hardware?
