Which Pelican Case for CGE Pro Mount?

I recently purchased a rolling toolbox from Home Depot for 54.00 to store my CGEM mount head. It had plenty of additional room for accessories, etc, and with the pull handle makes it easy to maneuver. You can use the foam that the mount was shipped in or get more and customize to suite your needs.

Thanks for posting. Reminded me of my heydays at Stellafane back in the late 70's, early 80's. I was most honored to win a first place in mechanical excellence one year and a first in optical 2 years later. Two different scopes.
I imagine the place has changed a lot, although your pics pretty much show the field I remember. Thanks again!!
Great looking scope btw! A true Stellafane entry with the artwork/craftmanship!!

mid sized dobs

Probably has a lot to do with the fact that those size dobs are not abundantly made by the chinese mfg's but by the quality built companies. Hence they are in high demand and are usually kept by the original owners or the second buyers. If you can find one you probably want to jump on it wink

Look forward to your input. I have the 6" that they sold a couple of years ago. After some dissapointment they replaced the lens and cell and I am a very happy camper now. It is a beast however 8O

This is what I got with my iPhone 7 through my ES 127 refractor. I surprised myself how well it came out considering I am a total novice with the camera in the phone!!

Use the 5100 with the 55-300 lens set at 300mm. You could put it on top of the Meade scope or just take a sturdy tripod instead. I will be going to Andrews, NC and will be shooting with my Canon 6D and 70~200 "L" lens with a 2x multiplier. I will shoot HD movies only and observe with my eyes also!

I have an older 9.25 (non Edge) on a CGEM mount. It is an ideal combo. The CGX is a somewhat beefier mount so you should enjoy!

The adapter on the end is screwed to the mechanism and it sure looks like a typical camera T-adapter. The question is , which camera. They usually tell what camera on the adapter itself. What camera are you using?
