Looks artsy from this end, even if you did want to aim elsewhere. That has to be hard to image this stuff that you can't see. Then ten hours later - oh, there it was!

Nice.

Pickering's Triangle area of the Veil Nebula

Very nice framing and colors. With the blending between green and blue, it probably is very close to the correct [OIII] color.

Cygnus Bubble Nebula PN G75.5+1.7 with 4-meter May

Cool images. The ink isn't even dry on them yet. Any details on time, camera, pixel size, filter width, processing notes, etc? Just that "4-meter" note.

Nice image. Those globs are hard to process, and I am guessing that one must lead the way in difficulty. How long were your subs? (And I wish it were a bit higher where I am.)

Looks nice from this end. Good contrast range. But are those some processing/diffraction spikes on some of the brighter stars from your NP101, or is that just very well controlled bleeding from the ST-10?

Very nice looking image. Any more info on your H-alpha? I am not sure what an "EOS clip" is - how narrow? And some shows up in green? (I am a new owner of a 50D, but as yet haven't plugged it into a scope for imaging. But I am looking at many of your posts for hints into that.)

And C8's are still great.

I also took 10x120s luminance. This version layered the luminance as a "multiply" at 50% on top of the H-alpha picture. I did not sharpen anything, since I think it needs lots more time, but that might be worthwhile to try to tighten up the stars. There are lots of those dim stars around that I would like to bring out. (Right now they are ~3-4" FWHM.) So which one of these is better/more interesting? Is the luminance worthwhile here? (I generally like the stars.) If I can get luminance good enough, then maybe that would be something to try with the narrow band. Any processing comments are most welcome.

Thanks for looking.

Here is my 20 minutes of luminance. The artifact to the right is from some bright star out of the FOV. I could re-frame and get rid of it, but then if won't match the H-a, which didn't show that.

Definitely "something worthwhile" from the data. The color and shadings agree with my monitor. This is one where it would be a real challenge to get good data on the nebulosity and maintain star color.

And I REALLY feel your pain about external guide scopes. (Actually I was wondering about getting/using an NP101 so I would have the option of trading functions and using the 16" as the guide scope.)

Really nice field there. Makes that bubble look very obvious.
