Very nice! So what is your new refractor? I see no hint of CA in your image. The DSLR handles the high dynamic range well. When you said the little ones were bugging you, I first thought you were talking about mosquitoes... 8)

Interesting thread, Keith. Plato's craterletts are always a draw for me, and I've glimpsed the Rille in the Alpine Valley exactly once. This is one of those areas in observational astronomy that benefits from having a working list of things to try for. Of course it would also benefit from good seeing, something rare in my locale. Thanks for the post, and for the list!

Yep, I saw it! Out walking the dog, saw it shortly after leaving home. By the time we got back, it had faded a lot. Got a quick shot of it. I believe it was a satellite fuel dump, I suppose from a geosynchronous satellite. It pays to look up!
