"This surge in nationwide infections isn't just due to more testing."
"While new cases have increased 29% over the past week, according to Johns Hopkins, testing nationwide has increased only about 11%, according to the Covid Tracking Project."

According to the projection from the George Washington School Of Medicine, the current death rate of roughly 1200/day will increase in 2 weeks or so to 3000/day. The latter is extrapolated from the current rate of infection.  So much for the idea of herd immunity...

I look it like this.   We are hopefully 6 to 9 months away from a vaccine.  I think its like the 1945 armistice or the last guy to leave Saigon.  You don't want to be the unlucky soldier to get shot in the summer of 1945 or in 1973...    we are so close...  the next 6 months is when we have to be the most vigilant and careful.   Anyhow this is what I am personally doing... I see it not only as protecting myself and my family but also my civic duty to not be a danger to my fellow citizen.
I don't agree there isn't scientific evidence linking Covid19 to long term complications. They appear to be primarily neurological:

To hell with him and all of the Covid deniers.
Jim, I'm sorry to know that about your friend. As I stated in a prior post about him, it wasn't a good sign that he needs a vent.
And what was Trump doing today? The same thing the prick has been doing virtually every day: golfing. F him and every covid denier...

GOP Testosterone Levels

On Meet The Press:"Every GOP senator declined interviews this weekend"
GEORGIA "senator" Perdue declines to debate his opponent.
Greg won't answer the question of whether or not he he agrees Donald Trump when he says the biggest mistake ever made was George W Bush's choice to invade Iraq.
Seems to me the GOP testosterone levels hover at ground zero. You know, they can get testosterone supplement in the vitamin section of their local Walmart's...
