Yikes!   I guess I need to pay more attention!

I could not agree more.   Wow.   It is amazing the compassion and competence you show James.    I hope I never walk your path, but if I were to, I’d hope to do half as well as you are.   J

Doctors In Rural USA & What They Contend With...

Fast-forward to today.

"Some of Symington's cancer patients curse at her for suggesting they vaccinate or wear masks to protect their weakened immune systems while undergoing chemotherapy."

"I actually had a patient's husband say, 'You only want me to mask because you're a liberal bitch.'"

"A lung cancer patient of Symington's refused vaccination, then died of COVID, still angrily believing the disease to be manufactured political fiction."

"There's also a surge in use of ivermectin — an anti-parasite drug — adding to patients' peril. "I have patients who are covertly taking ivermectin and then they end up in the intensive care unit because of a complication from the ivermectin," Symington explains. They're doing so on the advice of actor Mel Gibson, offered during his January appearance on Joe Rogan's popular conservative podcast."

All of the above is bad, I agree, but the implicit message of red America being fools while blue America is enlightened is getting pretty stale.   Trump’s election is in part a reaction to elitist snobbery.   Wake me up when NPR does a piece on urban blue state foolishness.

Grocery Prices

Kind of an odd take, given that mild inflation data is propelling the markets to new records yesterday and today, just as you posted this thread.   https://cnb.cx/3L4REYf

p.s.  You don't eat beef, right?  Do you drink a ton of coffee?  cool

Of course.   I do all the shopping.   It was an inside joke between Rod and me.   He always posts a thread when the market tanks.   I’ve been teasing him about it for years, decades even.   Now the markets are soaring, because overall inflation is soft….   Food notwithstanding. Worth a mention, given our 22 years of context! I think Rod got my joke, but it was subtle.  Sorry if you thought I was unaware  of the price of beef!  😳

So, Jim, why in the world would you be be doing "all the shopping" and looking at GROCERY PRICES when you could be looking at GALAXIES? I don't believe it! I mean geez man, get a grip, Jim!!!

Blasphemy!   Just because I post my sun shots now and then does not mean I ignore deep sky….  I have a really nice deep sky camera gathering dust in my observatory right now.  😣😟😣😟

Soon my life will be less chaotic.   Soon!   🙏

How SCOTUS Will Decide On Trump's Tariffs

Any other opinions on the AM on this one?
This is an important separation of powers case, and I think Trump’s administration loses.   His legal basis for claiming across the board tariff authority seems flimsy.
