m97 lrgb image

hi all,

i took this last night with my Vixen VC200L scope and a ST8E camera. 60:15:15;15 minutes and processed in MaximDl and PaintshopPro.

hi all,

this is a lrgb image of m106 the luminescence image was taken with a Vixen VC200L at f9 -45 mins and the color was taken with an C8 at f10 15 mins each channel with a ST8E camera. Color was binned 2x2. Processed in MaximDL and PaintshopPro.

hi,

here's the other half of the famous duo m82. Taken with a Takahashi Mewlon 250 and a SBIG ST8 camera. LRGB image 40:10:10;10 minutes. Image reduction in MaximDl and lrgb combine and layers and curves in PaintShopPro.

here's a Lrgb image of m100 taken with a Vixen VC200L and a SBIG ST8E camera. 80:10:10:10 minutes exposure with 10 min subframes.

here's a Lum image of ncg2903 in Leo. Taken with a Vixen VC200L at F9 and a ST10XME camera. 10min x6 summed in MaximDL and postprocessed in PaintShopPro. Image reduced to 1/2 size of original for posting.

Taken last night with a Vixen VC200L and a ST10 mounted on a MI 250 mount. 2 hr exposure ( 10 min x 12). Processed in MaximDl and PaintShop Pro. Image reduced to 50 % size for web presentation.

Image of m66 a compsite of 60 min Lum with a Vixen VS200L and a ST10MXE and 30 min lum with a Tahahashi Mewlon250 and a ST8E. Color taken with the Tak and the ST8 10 mins each channel.

Image reduce to 50% of original

Truth in advertising and Prices ?

hi,

I was just reading the thread on " truth in advertising " reagarding an eyepiece sale.

It raised a couple of questions in my mind. Lets use and eyepiece that sells new for $ 100.00 as an example.

What kind of condition must it be in to be advertised as LNIB, excellent, very good , average, good or poor ( but usable ).

The problem is there are no standards and one persons LNIB is another persons very good. Do a few set screw marks with excellent optical care make the eyepiece excellent, very good or just average ? A small scratch in the corner of a lens that does not affect the performance of the eyepiece ...is it average or good or poor ?

If the eyepiece sells for $100.00 new how much should be asked for a LNIB eyepiece ... 10% discount, 20% discount or ?? A very good condition eyepiece how much of a discount .. 35% ...45% or ??

ould like to here your thoughts on this.
