Hello everyone,

I've been trying to experiment with my new 300 f4L IS on my 20D. This guy decided to fly in while I was having lunch. parked at the beach.

Guess he wasn't quick enough out of the water during the last Bluefish feeding frenzy ???

Hello everyone,

Since the weather has been poor here in CT, I'm happy to post something.

So at Lou's request ......here are a few details of my observatory project. The warm room portion has worked well throughout the winter. I use a small oil filled heater in the winter and a dehumidifier in the summer to maintain a humidity level of 25%.

The overall size of this building is 8'-0" x 14'-0" :

8'x8' observing area for the 10" LX200

6'x8' warm room area

Just wanted to take a moment to say hello to everyone. Haven't posted many images this "planet season" nor have I had much time to try. Hope that changes soon. I hear my scope calling from the observatory :S Conditions haven't been the best here in CT. I hope to try Jupiter again before it's out of my view.

Wes.....if you read this. That's one fine camera your using on Mars.

Hello everyone,

I've been trying my hand at some macro lately. I haven't purchased a "real" macro lense yet so I've been using my Canon EF 300mm f4 L IS with the 20D. With IS off and tripod mounted, it seems to work for now. What do you think? This is a 100% crop of the original.
