Mark, In the Christian religion God forgives all your sins when you accept and receive Jesus' sacrifice. Once a person puts their faith and trust in God's grace given through Jesus on the cross and believes that a sin they commit can't be forgiven, they don't fully understand forgiveness. This includes suicide. If a Christian was walking down the street and is thinking about having sex with someone other that his wife and is killed will he still go to heaven? The answer is yes. Now if a person thinks "Hey I've got Jesus on my side and I can commit any crime I want because I'm forgiven" does not fully understand the price of salvation paid by Jesus. That would be blaspheme against the Holy Spirit.
This is the same as the 3rd commandment, Do not take the Lord's name in vain. That does not mean cursing. It is the same as when a wife takes the last name of her husband by marriage and then by her actions destroys that good name. A true Christian understands the price paid to redeem them and tries their best to live a life to please God. That does not mean we are perfect. We will make mistakes. And some will unfortunately end their own lives. So to sum it all up, A person who has accepted forgiveness from God through Jesus and commits suicide will go to Heaven. A person who rejects Jesus will not under any circumstance. Vince

John, This is one of my favorite NASA missions. One it will allow as amateurs a chance to watch the event happen. I am already starting to organize an impact party. The second thing is my name is on the CD aboard the impact probe. It is really not that big of a thing for NASA to do but to me it is really cool that my name is aboard a spacecraft on its way to impact a comet. I feel like I am, in a small way, part of the mission. Vince

Thanks for all the tips and advice.
I made a second set of blocks and drilled the hole all the way through.
This way I can get the length right on. I feel a lot better this way than setting the secondary on a couple of boards clamped to a couple of ladders and trying to get it the right distance in the dark.
If you knew me you would understand that would be an (expensive) accident waiting to happen. That was the way I had planned on before posting here.
I also will use a miter saw to cut to cut the poles.

I noticed the coatings on my PST in the direct sunlight were uneven. Doing some research I found out that the rust can also be green. I have the dreaded green rust. I have been waiting all this time fearing the red rust. I have called Meade and they have already started the repair process.

Great scope. I had one years ago. It was my first serious scope. To this day some of my best memories were with that old pumpkin.
