Nice sketch,much better than mine taken around the same time lots of detail,I also noticed how dark the STD was it did look like a knoted robe,strangly my green #56 filter seemed to show Jupiter best at 171x with my 7mm UO ortho,usually lt. yellow or mv-1 does the best job.

Great shot I especially like the gull shaped blue festoons in the ez,I thought Sol Robbins was using some artistic lincense in his sketches, but their they are congrads.

Outstanding sketch and observations,you get that much detail from only 257x,you must have sharp eyes,I notice the grs appears floating above its spot in the hallow, I remenber seeing that in my scope,thanks for sharing,keep those observations coming.
