WO 66Petzval/DSLRPosted By Phillip Ostroff |
Hey There,
I use my Nikon D40 with my WO66mm Petzval with relative success (Still learning the ropes). I ordered two parts from scopestuff.com, which were:
* Part TASL 2" SCT T-adapter
* Part TTSR Spacer ring
Both can be found here: http://scopestuff.com/ss_tadpt.htm
Here are some examples of my shots with this configuration. Petzval was mounted on an 8" LX200 with Milburn wedge.
M81 & M82: http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_hBh1qWkj6yg/ScF-SrxHdaI/AAAAAAAABYI/EViZUHcwOTI/s1600-h/M81_M82b.jpg
Sword of Orion: http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_hBh1qWkj6yg/SaNkYUVYP9I/AAAAAAAABSE/7vs86UpY7-U/s1600-h/OrionSwordMain.jpg
Like I said, I am a newbie so much room for improvement. But I like what I have been able to do with my Nikon D40 and WO66 Petzval thus far. There is a fair bit of vignetting with this scope so be sure to take flat frames!
Cheers,
Phil
