I'm not going to get too excited until all votes are counted, it does seem like a referendum on trump's policies.

How long before trump starts yelling rigged?
According to CNN, Trump has already posted on truth social that the Republicans would be winning if only he were on the ballot. So the odds of him seeing this election day wipe out as any sort of referendum on his policies are probably close to zero.

CNN just called it for Talirico in Texas. It was not even close. Trump’s ice overreach really affected him in Texas. The announcers on CNN mentioned how long time American citizens In the border communities were afraid to leave their homes. Not a good way to win voters. Russ is absolutely right.  As I was typing this CNN also called the Texas governorship for the D, Hinojosa.   Wow

By the way, Melat Kiros the 29 year old DSA house candidate in Denver, my district, is winning in a landslide as everybody knew she would. My independent “protest vote” candidate is getting about 5.3%.   I can’t recall his name, but he sent me a nice email before I voted.   The R is getting maybe 10%

I’m probably wrong, but I don’t think so. This Republican annihilation is so complete and overwhelming, that Trump, in view of his narcissism, will have to resort to arguing that the Rs lost only because he could not be on the ballot. That tack feeds his ego more than arguing the fix was in, when vote rigging on a complete and overwhelming national scale is such a preposterous angle.

Trump is now blaming Abbott for his loss in Texas  Just called him a RINO on Truth Social according to CNN.   Wow.  Do you reckon Richard will agree that Abbott has been a RINO all along?

Three things, see above.   Trump is going to blame the R candidates for not being sufficiently Trumpian.

Correction: For rational people, this can only be seen as a rejection of Trump‘s policies.  😀

They will have to override a veto to expand the court, I think.

Personally I cannot see them making such a move. It would completely destroy any support for the supreme court.
I think Thomas is older than Alito, but I don’t see either of them stepping down.   The next president will get to replace them both is my guess.
