GOP representative: Some Republicans voted to challenge election results due to safety concerns

Posted By Rod Kaufman

"The CEO of Parler, a social media platform popular among conservatives, told Mediaite that it removed a post from attorney Lin Wood calling for Vice President Mike Pence to be executed by "firing squads."
"Yes, some of his parleys that violated our rules were taken down," John Matze told Mediaite, specifying that the post, or parley, about the "firing squads" was among those removed.
Wood, a staunch supporter of President Donald Trump, told CNN, "I made NO threat. I do not believe in violence. I do believe in the rule of law."
"I have reliable evidence that Pence has a engaged in acts of treason. My comments were rhetorical hyperbole. Any journalist should understand that concept. If my information is accurate, law enforcement will address what punishment, if any, should be administered to Pence as they do with all criminals," Wood said.
Wood posted on Parler on Thursday, according to Mediate, "They let them in. Get the firing squads ready. Pence goes FIRST."

"He represented Kentucky high school student Nicholas Sandmann"

GOP representative: Some Republicans voted to challenge election results due to safety concerns

Posted By Rod Kaufman

"Rep. Peter Meijer (R-Mich.) said while some GOP members of Congress "share responsibility" for misleading the supporters of President Trump who stormed the U.S. Capitol last week, others feared physical violence if they opposed objections to the 2020 election results.
"They were being lied to. They were being misled," he said of the demonstrators. "Some of my colleagues in Congress, they share responsibility for that. Many of them were fundraising off of this Stop the Steal grift."
"But other Republicans, he argued in an interview with the libertarian magazine Reason, "had legitimate concerns about the safety of their families. They felt that that vote would put their families in danger."

False Equivalency. BLM rioters vs MAGA Rioters

"You need to stop with the BLM/MAGAt false equivalence.

Make no mistake, the BLM folks shouldn't have destroyed property--that's wrong. And you'll find precious few defending it; and when they do it's a "Well, it was wrong but I understand why" kind of defense.

BLM: Has a legitimate grievance, whose actual existence is trivially proven. To wit: Whole lotta black people getting shot with very little provocation, and a whole lot of white people getting away with the same thing but not getting shot. In response to their voices not being heard, they burned down a donut shop or two and a police station. In response the government sent out paramilitary/LE folks with no identification to scoop them into vans.

MAGAts: Do not have a legitimate grievance. There is exactly zero evidence of large-scale voter fraud. To date, they have had over 60 cases laughed out of court. Not one of those cases presented evidence other than "I heard something might have happened," "I don't understand Benford's Law," "I watched them count the votes and people were mean to me," "I was confused that so many of the mail in ballots, which Trump said were bad, were for Democrats." After numerous recounts (hand and machine) and audits with signature matching, all we got was even more votes for Biden, plus three dudes in PA who tried to use the identities of dead people to vote...for Trump. The states all certified their results, and according to the Constitution, which MAGAts like to masturbate to (although just the Second Amendment, and not the bit about the regulated militias), that was the end of it. Way more electoral and popular votes for Biden. Recounted, audited, and proved. End of story. But MAGAts' orange god told them they would win, and so they threw a gigantic tantrum and stormed a building which, until now most people assumed was the sort of place that if you stormed it you would be shot, and the cops let them right on in. They went it with an obvious motive to put an end to a constitutionally-prescribed process that ensure orderly transition of government, and given their stash of zip ties, were hell bent on kidnapping folks.  Good jerb, MAGAts.

So BLM broke the law and upset civil order because they were upset at time after time being patted on the head and told their very real grievances aren't important. MAGAts breached the heart of US government and attempted to overthrow it, because they were sad that they lost. This is sedition. BLM is mad that the laws are not being applied fairly to them, MAGAts are mad because laws are being applied fairly.

You forgot antifa infiltrated MAGA and it's all their fault...

"On the very day that Congress counted the electoral votes that certified President-elect Joe Biden’s victory, Trump opened up the US Capitol to an insurrection.
He told a crowd rallying south of the White House to “walk down to the Capitol,” adding, “You will never take back our country with weakness.”
"At Trump’s behest, throngs of his supporters descended on Washington, DC, to dispute the results of the presidential election, climbing the steps of the Capitol and busting through its doors and windows. Throughout the day, Trump continued to falsely claim that the election was stolen without any evidence to support this unreality, further riling up his followers to “take the country back.”
"In a last-minute video message, Trump told the crowd to go home — then told them he loved them and believes they’re “very special.”

Talk radio company orders hosts to stop suggesting election was stolen from Trump

"Brian Philips, the company’s executive vice president, went on to say Cumulus and its program syndication branch, Westwood One, “will not tolerate any suggestion that the election has not ended. The election has been resolved and there are no alternate acceptable ‘paths’. ”

“If you transgress this policy, you can expect to separate from the company immediately,” he added.

Cumulus hosts include Mark Levin, Ben Shapiro and Dan Bongino. Rush Limbaugh, who is broadcast on numerous Cumulus stations but syndicated by Premiere Networks, is not subject to the directive."

"The Treasury Department announced a new spate of sanctions on Monday targeting the “inner circle” of Andrii Derkach, the pro-Russian Ukrainian lawmaker who aided Rudy Giuliani’s efforts to probe unsubstantiated allegations of wrongdoing by President-elect Joe Biden and his family."

Within walking distance to the capitol, Trump told the angry mob: " And if you don’t fight like hell, you’re not going to have a country anymore.” The mob marched down to the capitol and did just that....
