They are camouflaged (barely) by the majority of the 43% that still stick with trump and are a significant danger. They, along with the twisted ideology of QAnon, make this the Islamic Jihad of our country and are just as dangerous. McVey was tied to the Michigan Militia, and was no nut - he was evil.

If we don't find a way to get through to the Greg's of the world that they are providing cover and assistance for a dangerous radical group that has been with them form the start, we are potentially unleashing a domestic terrorist group that will rival radical Islam.

IMO, the ONLY reason these Militia nazi's did not succeed in killing members of Congress is that they were shielding themselves with the true-blood trumpies and they did not get to the front of the mob in time before members of Congress were shuffled off to safety. It only took one bullet to stop the trumpies at the front of the line and stop the incursion. Seeing one dead trump fanatic is all it took to scare them off. It won't be true for the embedded nazi's and racists.

Additionally, Colorado's gun-loving glock-toting Boebert is in the thick of it:
"Boebert has faced backlash and calls to resign over tweeting out the location of lawmakers as the Capitol was being breached. Some GOP lawmakers voiced concerns over Boebert’s tweets in a heated call on Monday."
“Representative Boebert’s actions, including her statements on the floor immediately preceding the insurrection and her social media posts leading up to the riots were irresponsible and reprehensible,” the officials wrote.

Jim,
Now that your thinking has been so-affected, are you considering joining these lawyers?

As if it was ever a REAL thought in any leftist's head.

There's this thing called the Constitution and so tell me how Josh Hawley or Ted Cruz ignored the Constitution, violated it, or violated their oath to it.

Be specific.
Well that's easy, instead of upholding the constitution they swore to defend, they incited an insurrection against it...

Trump told Pence he could be a 'patriot' or 'p----'

In the run up to and aftermath of the election, leading to the riot, Trump went off the rails, but Pence stayed the course and we will have an orderly transition of power.

I doubt that history will be kind to Pence - but maybe future historians will acknowledge that things could have been a lot worse if Pence had acted affirmatively to further Trump's attempts to overturn the valid election.

I recognize and appreciate that it is easy for the half of the country who loathed Trump from day 1 to see Pence as nothing but a toady.  That is CNN's message right?  But did Pence do anything to thwart the certification of the election as Trump demanded?  I don't think so, but of course could have missed something.

Pence did his job with regards to the certification, as required in the constitution, as he should. He simply did his job. History doesn't need to be kind to him...

And none too soon since we have a failed vaccine distribution, a chug a lug economy, Russian cyber attacks with impunity, and an entrenched Trump-installed deep state impeding transition in every department...

Jim
That's the problem: the feds have little to do with it. That is, the Trump administration dumped it onto the states without any prep or planning and no funding to support it...

Not in this case it isn't. BTW, Israel leads the world with covid vaccinations and will be the first country to achieve herd immunity.

Trump told Pence he could be a 'patriot' or 'p----'

"President Trump told Vice President Pence he had a choice between being remembered by history “as a patriot … or as a p----” while attempting to pressure him to overturn the results of the presidential election, according to a report from The New York Times."
"He set Mike Pence up that day by putting it on his shoulders,” Ryan Streeter, who served an adviser to Pence when he was governor of Indiana, told the Times. “That’s a pretty unprecedented thing in American politics. For a president to throw his own vice president under the bus like that and to encourage his supporters to take him on is something just unconscionable in my mind.”
