Rob Portman is leaving the Senate. The GOP is going the wrong direction. Portman, except for the obligatory ass-kissing of Trump, lined up with what I expect a member of the GOP to act like. PS: The  majority of Republicans in the senate today have already declared they will not support a conviction of Donald Trump without even hearing the evidence. According to RAND PAUL and his sheepsters in the senate, it is unconstitutional to impeach a president who is out of office. According to the statement of legal scholars from the conservative federalist society, it is: "Former President Donald Trump can be convicted in an impeachment trial for his role in inciting the Capitol insurrection on Jan. 6 even though he is no longer in office, a bipartisan group of constitutional law scholars wrote in a letter Thursday."
