According to the article cited in the link, Gordon Brown, the prime minister of Britain, is a member of the commission or society or whatever it is. Does that make him a socialist as well?

First of all, it should go without saying that you shouldn't restate what has been printed from another source as your own in your own post. You should provide the link. In other words, I don't believe the words in your own post as yours but are simply a cut and paste or a retype of another source. Some people might refer to what you did as "plagiarism".
Second, does the opinion of three out of five scientists in Japan make it a fact that global warming isn't a result of manmade acitivity? What about the overwhelming consensus of the scientific community that it is:

Doug, your post is bogus for so many reasons and at so many levels that I hardly know where to begin:
1. Your statement: "The pronouncements of scientists on either side; science is not a faith based enterprise." Of course science is not a "faith based enterprise." The latter is the very antithesis of science. So when the consensus of scientists across the globe is what it is on global warming it is axiomatic that it is based upon science and not a "faith-based enterprise."
2. Your statement on computer models: "...they can't predict...". Computer models have their scientific strengths and weaknesses which scientists understand. You don't.
3. "Your opinion, my opinion." We already know your opinion, Doug and we know it's bias and the latter means you can not objectively "keep the truth meter running". It also is extremely presumptuous of you to assume the duties of a moderator of this thread, or any other that you have not been designated to do so. We already have a moderator of these threads in this forum and it isn't you.
4. No "attacking the opposition with anything but the facts." The above points are the facts...
