M3 with ST-237A

Took this last night with my high dollar Sbig ST-237A mounted on my cheap AP-130 F/6. Man I gotta get a bigger camera! Ten 2 minute luminance shots. Autoguided with an ST-4 mounted on a TV-85 that was piggyback on the AP. All was ridding on an old Celestron flavor G11/Gemini. Processed in Images Plus.

M3 widefield

I put up my ST-237 last night and shot M3 with my 10D instead. Clouds rolled in around midnight so I only managed to get eight 5 minute shots. The 10D was mounted on my AP-130 F/6 autoguided with an ST-4 mounted on a TV-85 all ridding on a G11/Gemini. It was really windy last night, but the G11 was rock solid.

M101 with ST-237A

I don't know how everyone finds the time to take color photos. I barely can find the time to take just the luminance shots. Here is M101 taken with my ST-237A on my AP-130 F/6. 15 five minute shots, autoguided with an ST-4.

Im almost embarrassed to put up my crappy picture after those excellent shots that Roland just put up, but at least I used one of his excellent scopes. Clouds rolled in after only taking ten 2 minute shots of M51, but at least I got a chance to try out my new camera. I was really surprised that you really don't have to take any dark frames with the Starlight Xpress cameras. No darks or flats where used.

SXV-H9 second light M13 AP-130

Well I cleaned all the dust bunnies off the front of my new camera and got rid of all the dust bunnies that showed up in yesterday's picture. Since the Moon was pretty bright I decided to try M13. I took sixty, 90 second shots with the SXV-H9 on the AP-130. No darks or flats. Processed in Images plus.

Jupiter with AP-130 F/6

Had some good seeing finally yesterday here in Austin. Took a shot of Jupiter with the trusty 5" APO. I processed it on my new laptop so I don't know if the colors are right or not. Looks good on the laptop, not so good on my desktop.

M57 SXV-H9

I'm still shooting black and white shots so bare with me. I took ten 5 minute shots of M57 a couple of nights ago with my SXV-H9 mounted on my AP-130 F/6. I also had a 2.5X Powermate on the scope. Autoguided with a ST-4 on a Celestron G11/Gemini.

Just finished shooting my first DSO with an H-Alpha Filter. 19 shots each 5 minutes long. SXV-H9 mounted on an AP-130 F/6 ridding on a G11. Autoguided with an ST-4 on a TV-85.

I took 6 shots of M20 the other night. Each one was 15 minutes long. SXV-h9 with Schuler H-Alpha filter on an AP-130F/6, G11/Gemini, ST-4. Stacked and stretched in Images Plus.
