Hi,

Finally got a clear night. It's the first time I seen jupiter this season. The result seems not bad. This is just some preliminary processing but I can't wait to share it with my friends!

Hello,

Seems everybody had a great time last weekend. My luck wasn't that great. Seeing was around 1-5/10 Friday and saturday night.

Here are some images:
Jupiter on Feb 28th seeing 3-4/10. missed the shadow transit sad

Seeing was great! at least for a while. But I got off work late so didn't get enough time to cool down the scope. I was quite disppointing while seeing the heat in eyepiece. But the result turned out to be pretty descent. My best so far :=)

Need your help! How to rotate a fits image?

Hi,

Could anybody here tell me which software to use to rotate a fits format image? I know Registax can rotate at 1 degree increments. But I need something to allow me to rotate 0.01 degree smile

Any ideas?

What did I miss tonight?

Jupiter is FUN tonight! Just saw one moon enterd the back of Jupiter, One moon (guess it's ganymede) and its shadow transit. And now is another moon (io?) and its shadow transit. Unforunately we have clody night here. My webcam can barely see the jupitersad Hope somebody here have better luck and record the whole process,

Venus Last Night and Edmund optics issues

Hi Here is the venus image I obtained last night.

The first one was without any filter. The second one was with an astronomik green filter. And the third one is with an Edmund Optics "UV"(U340) filter. Well but the image is orenge and I can see much cloud detail. I believe they sent me the wrong filter. It's must be an IR filter! And suggestions for which UV filter shuld I get and Where to buy?
