Yeah, Herb, I completely agree with the objections - but I do not have access to that part of the system (news Comments) or I'd snip it out myself.

Besides, in addition to be rude, the guy is simply inaccurate. When it comes to international outgassing cuisine, I'll put up Washington State free-range chicken, baked, gorgonzola stuffed and broccoli cream-sauced against ANYTHING ANY nation can put up, bar none.

Positively withering.

That's a beauty, Michael.

Several years ago, my Mom bought me a 440gm Octahedrite. I decided I would like to aquire just a few samples of the major types but I forced myself to stick to around $100.

My collection is small (just 4) but it gives me great pleasure to posess these little bits of very well travelled rock.

Good Short Stories for a Movie

One of my favorite collections of short stories is Larry Niven's DRACO TAVERN, about a guy lucky enough to be the first human contacted by an ancient race who want him to build a Tavern/Port in the cold north - a kind of a truck stop for all manner of intra and intergalactic travellers, shippers, explorers and whatnot.

The tavern is built to accomodate the most outlandish of biological and not so biological forms - the section on the restrooms is hilarious. The Tavern stories would actually make a terrific half hour sitcom. A weird new alien arrival each week, with its attendant history or story played out as a show within the show.
