Photography with Mak scopes?

I would probably go through an eyepiece. The camera I am looking to use is either the Nikon Coolpix 4500 or the 8700, or if someone has a better suggestion on which camera to use. I don't have the camera yet, so am open to suggestion. The Lomo can take both a 1.25" visual back or a 2" visual back. I have both.
