What exactly is an Auto guider? Does it require perfect polar alignment to use? Is it expensiver? Where can i get one? Im in to film astrophotography and have found that i cant Polar align very well so i have to manuelly guide which is very hard sometimes and even then some pictures dont come out very well.

I live in Roanoke, VA. I might go along with some other members in the RVAS (Roanoke valley astronomical society). Im only 16, so i would have to have my parents drive me down on the friday after i get home from school and then leave the sunday. But thats only if they will take me. I would try and car pool but im expecting to get a Meade LXD55 10" SN scope this thursday from another club member so i dont think there would be enough room for that.

OK, youll definatly need the following:
The camera of course
a shutter release
a t-ring to fit your scope and camera for Prime Focus
a t-adapter if you want to do Eyepiece Projection

Thats all i can think of for the basics, besides film.
