Hi Steve, good to hear from you and thanks for your sentiments. I appreciate it.
Facts are facts and they can call BS anytime they want. My brother didn't develop that rash from poison ivy, he got it from an allergic reaction according to his Doctor and when I asked him what he thought the reaction was from, he said Hydroxychloroquine, so all I know is that he told me that it or something of the 3 things they gave him saved him.
He sent me a dozen or so photos on my cell phone, and it started on his shoulders and then worked its way down his chest and back to his legs.
I was shocked when he told me there was No pain whatsoever from that rash, even the open blisters.
There was one photo he sent to my phone and it was an upper body picture of him in a mirror and I tell you, his expression looked like the walking dead.
I called him and we talked for quite a while that night, and he said he felt like death when he went to the hospital.
That was about a week ago, and I spoke to my other Brother Dan this morning and he said he'd talked to Tim and that he was doing a lot better, almost fully recovered, but he did get hospitalized for 3 days.
I think Tim has some underlying co-morbidities though such as being fairly overweight, maybe 50 lbs or so.
I'm lucky in that last year I lost about 40 lbs and am down to 142- 145 depending upon the day.
I feel much better overall.
Tim's wife had gotten Covid a long time ago and it didn't affect her much at all. She was almost asymptomatic but it just hit him like a ton of bricks.
My other sister in California is in worse shape than Tim so I'm concerned that if she gets it, It will probably kill her.
She nearly died from Liver disease from Hepatitis 2 years ago and she's 64 this year, but very obese.
I keep trying to tell her to lose weight but she tells me the excuse that she has gland problems, which is IMO nonsense.
There isn't much one can do when someone else doesn't want to even try to help themselves.
Anyway, I'm glad my younger brother pulled through. I'm going to go and see him in Texas before the end of the year, so I guess I can bug him then to try and go on a diet.
He really needs to do that.
Steve, best to you and your family. I hope you're doing well!
