I'm disappointedPosted By Rod Kaufman |
Well Jim, I think nobody saw this one coming from left field out of China until arrived yesterday. I follow the markets and there are plenty of doomsayers pontificating on the collapse of the market on a weekly or monthly basis. Eventually, when the market takes a dump, one of 'em wiil statistically be proven to be right bases upon the sheer numbers of the negative forecasting that many of them do on an ongoing basis. Of those doomsayers, none, to my knowledge, forecast a dump based upon a real estate developer in China.Originally Posted by James BrownA year or two ago, when the market took a dump, Rod could be counted on to post something blaming Trump. That always made me happy - because like clockwork the market would bounce back in the next day or two. I guess I came to see a doom-and-gloom posting from Rod as a leading indicator of a nice rally. I counted on it.
Yesterday, the market swooned and nothing from Rod... Does this mean we are in for an extended Bear market? I sure hope not.
Jim
However, others are forecasting market dumps based upon the congress failing to raise the debt ceiling which it did twice under the Trump presidency. The GOP gleefully raised the limit without question so the nation would not default. Now that a Democrat occupies the office, it's the same old hypocrisy of the GOP on full display.
So, if it happens, I still place the blame where it belongs on the GOP...
