You ready to admit what I said weeks ago might have some legs about how the WEATHER was going to be driving covid numbers as winter moves in? lol
We passed the pandemic phase some months ago.....This is what the endemic phase looks like.
I'm ready to admit the weather, to a certain extent, has "a" effect but not the main or only effect. Warmer weather in Florida means more people out and about and that's a good thing when it comes to slowing the spread of covid. Colder weather elsewhere means more people clustered inside and the greater potential for spread.
When it comes to Florida reporting its number, however, the GOP machine keeps 'em down:
“What does that really mean when they say that Florida has the lowest rate in the country?” Dr. David Cutler, a family medicine physician at Providence Saint John’s Health Center in Santa Monica, California, told Healthline."
“Because Florida only reports those positive cases among people who are full-time residents of Florida. So, if your full-time residence is in Ohio, and you have a condo in Miami Beach and you go down there and you get COVID, you’re not a case in Florida. You’re not even a case in Ohio. You’re nothing, and that’s why I don’t put a lot of impact on that Florida case rate.”
