"...not a single person has been charged with "insurrection or sedition".
Yet.
"It was a protest that evolved into a riot not a pre-planned insurrection."
Is that why Bannon stated, "all hell is going to break loose tomorrow" on the day before the attack on the capitol?
Disappointing for you I know but facts are facts.

Lol...Bannon made a statement about what was to be. Who makes an "opinion" about such a thing as that in the first place?!
Sheesh...

So if that's the explanation for Bannon, then why didn't he just say that to the Jan 6th committee? Why the refusal to testify under oath to the committee? If he's found guilty in his trial, he faces a mandatory jail sentence. So which are you? Dumb or Dumber?...

Where is their common sense?
Let's assume for a moment that Paul Manafort was actually the campaign manager for Hillary Clinton instead of Donald J Trump. Since Manafort "provided the Russian Intelligence Services with sensitive information on polling and [Trump] campaign strategy.” And according to its campaign official, "the information that Manafort handed directly to Russian intelligence was of critical importance, determining “98 percent” of the campaign’s resource allocations (such as spending on TV, radio and social media ads, rallies, field operations, and so on)." Furthermore, ", the ultrasensitive campaign information that Manafort passed to a Russian spy “identified voter bases in blue-collar, democratic-leaning states which Trump could swing,” including in “Michigan, Wisconsin, Pennsylvania, and Minnesota.”

Would you be calling it a hoax? Would you believe that Clinton had no knowledge of it? Would you approve of Clinton pardoning Manaford?

Jim,
I've already posted a response to Mel regarding the Russia "hoax". I think you're asleep at the wheel and you need to wake the ----up on the insurrection. It's actually continuing to unfold before you but you don't recognize it. The fact is the Trump team is working diligently to subvert the electoral process on multiple levels. Bannon and his co-horts reportedly provide scripts to angry Republican parents to read at school board meetings to create imaginary and incendiary issues on mask mandates/vaccine mandates and or CRT, even if the school district doesn't teach the latter. The Trump team is pushing candidates for election boards who either were at the insurrection at the capitol or are active in pushing the big lie. One of 'em just got elected. Another is running for the governorship of Arizona. Another, who just stated he wouldn't have certified the votes in Georgia for the 2020 election is also now running for its governorship. If these people and others like them actually get elected to office, and Trump runs for office and loses again in 2024, then it's likely his supporters on the election boards or in the governorships, will not certify the vote based upon the big lie of election fraud.  If that happens, Democracy ends. Do you not get that?

Allowing millions to cross the southern border will have a bigger effect on elections. It won't be long before non-citizens are voting in a state like New York. The border caught more than 120,000 last month. More than that slipped through. Biden doesn't care that hundreds of thousands of unskilled cross. Where will they be working in 10 years? Biden and apparently other Dems do not care. Do you still deny they are a COVID risk?
Changing the demographics does make a difference.
You be sure to let us know when the ones they caught as well as the ones they didn't start voting illegally.
Meanwhile you can read about Republican voter fraud in the 2020 election here:

I think the obvious covid risk we have to worry about is the multitude of Republicans who won't mask up and won't get vaccinated.

Is it to swell Democratic voter rolls? If so, then most illegal immigrants are in CA, TX, FL, NY, NJ, IL, GA, NC, AZ, and MD, and by most, I mean those top ten states account for 2/3 of them. Heck, CA and TX alone account for 1/3 of them. All of those states are already solidly blue or red. If illegal immigrants are voting improperly in federal elections, it has to be a tiny amount. Every study in recent memory that has looked at voter fraud in national elections has found only vanishingly small amounts. There is no way that illegal immigrants are swaying federal elections. I cannot make it pass the common-sense test.

If Republicans are worried about COVID, I suggest they get themselves and their friends and families vaccinated and stop resisting common-sense mitigation strategies like masking and social distancing.

If Republicans are worried about illegal immigrants taking jobs and not paying their fair share, and so forth and so on, I suggest they get behind common-sense immigration reform that includes a path to citizenship.

If Republicans are worried about losing votes, I suggest they stop nominating narcissistic incompetent demagogues for federal offices. Maybe they could start showing that they are a competent ruling party with actual policies and principles that make sense and appeal to a broad base of voters?

It's probably not a good idea to use illegal immigrants as a scapegoat. That's only going to work for so long. It can even work against you and alienate voters who have ties to the immigrant community. Keep in mind, Mel, I have lived in Texas my entire life, and I can tell you unequivocally that the illegal immigration problem is not nearly the national disaster the political pundits would like you to believe it is.
I applaud your attempt to apply logic, reasoning and understanding along with factual citations, but, as you have read, it's futile with an individual who, like the Republican party, is completely refractory to any of it...

If I post something that isn't logical to you, then why don't you call it out at the time and provide a rationale as to why it isn't?
